How To Prepare Your Matcha

How To Prepare Your Matcha

Tea Quantity - 2 grams
Temperature - 80°C / 175°F
Water Quantity - 40-70ml

To prepare authentic matcha, you'll need a few specialized tools:
- A matcha bowl (Chawan),
- A bamboo matcha whisk (Chasen),
- A bamboo matcha scoop (Chashaku).

Begin by preheating the bowl with hot water, then wetting the tips of the whisk's prongs.

Empty the water and dry the bowl, then measure out 70ml for thin matcha or 40ml for thick matcha into a measuring cup and let it cool.

For best results, sift the matcha before measuring to remove any clumps.

Once the water has cooled to 80°C, pour it into the bowl and use the whisk to create a thick froth with tiny bubbles for thin matcha or a smooth, thick consistency without froth for thick matcha.

Enjoy your authentic matcha tea.

Store matcha in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for maximum freshness.
